Suikoden

I got Suikoden II a while ago, and played about 5 hours a day on average for the next two weeks. If you haven't played Suikoden, you really ought to. (assuming you like RPGs) It's definitely one of the best ever, it has so many good things going for it. Unfortunately, the graphics are pretty 1997. Anyway, I'm not going to draw a comic for this game, but I like it so much, I felt I had to have a section for it. Like usual, the big grey "Suikoden" header above is the link to the separate section

Final Fantasy

So far, all I've got here is a few pages of a dojinshi, mostly about FF7, but with characters and jokes from most of square's RPGs. I am doing this more as an experiment in full page manga- style layout than anything else, so I'm not really rushing to get new pages out, but I've spent a lot of time on the art, at least on the later pages. In the first four, I had planned on using Photoshop to add color, so the art looks like a coloring book. Sorry, but color just takes too long. The story that eventually comes together centers around a device professor Hojo built that allows people to be brought from other Squaresoft games.

Other People's Dojinshi

Here are some LINKS to other people who draw dojinshi!
Cherden's Happy Page -A whole lot of stuff here, mostly about the Final Fantasy series. There's even some sort of FF7 and Ranma 1/2 hybrid. check it out.
Guardian 2.1 -Not really dojinshi, but rather, original manga works, and plenty of them. Good web design, too.

Monster Rancher

Monster Rancher is one of my favorite games. The reason it's so much fun is because you can have rivalries with your friends and compete, continually making stronger and stronger monsters, just like in the cold war! Sort of. I had played it for a while, then eventually got tired of it, But after watching the pokemon cartoon show, I was rejuvinated with monster training energy, and I still am! I also recently played the Pokemon game. A lot of fun, definitely. Anyway, If you have a really strong monster, send me a screen capture of the monster's data screen, or a scanned photo, or something, and I'll draw a picture of it, and post it up here. The reason I want proof of some sort is because it takes a while to make those pictures.

[Murder] Murder is my strongest ever. He is a Marble, a Golem sub Naga. His skill and power are so high, he can kill just about anything within a second of the start of the match. He's fought in a lot of matches since reaching his current level, and he's never missed. Beware the fatal "Brow Hit"! By the way, in the picture to the left, he's saluting. His stats are:
Lif: 268 Pow: 999 Def: 385
Skl: 970 Spd: 271 Int: 145
Age: 7--0
96Wins 2Loss 68KO
Prize: 144300G
[ayukawa] Ayukawa is an Angel, a Pixie sub Gali. I sent her on a LOT of expeditions, and as a result she is not as strong as she could have been. She still managed to win a few big four tournaments before she got too old. Even though she wasn't powerful like murder, I put her up here out of gratitude for all the great stuff she found on those expeditions. Holly always called her "he". Holly's pretty dumb.
Lif: 211 Pow: 104 Def: 238
Ski: 503 Spd: 445 Int: 777
Age: 4--8

Tenchu

Tenchu means "Divine Retribution", or "Judgement of the Heavens". The character was often written on a scrap of paper and left by assasins after a kill, meaning that their victim was punished by the heavens for his crimes. Tenchu is a very good name for this game, as you play as a ninja, executing various evils that stand against your master. Your goul is not just to kill kill kill, but to try to be as sneaky as possible, you get a lot of points if you complete the level without being seen by anyone other than your target. Also, if you do well enough on a level, you will be rewarded with some special, really cool ninja items that make your job a lot easier. I really enjoyed this game, it's pretty original. Cool as it is, however, there are a few problems. Rather than complain about them here, I drew a one page dojinshi that explains a few of them. It probably won't be very funny if you haven't played the game, though.
