Updates

11/20/02 - I got two emails about the shirt/poster thing, which is good, but I know there's a few more of you out there than two, wo why don't the other two let me know how you feel about it. If you prefer, post in the forum. Also, you may note that this update is a day earlier than usual. In fact, I almost had it done yesterday! Hopefully I'll be able to get back into a 3 strip a day groove, but I've probably jinxed myself by voicing that hope. At least I have an excuse now, although it's a totally useless one.
11/17/02 - One of the reasons I haven't had many comics lately is that I've been working on a T-shirt for the Unicorn Princess. (click here to see a preview.) If I'm also going to finish that Chappy shirt I mentioned earlier after that. I also have a pretty cool design for a forest of peril/Beireia's job shirt/poster/whatever. If you'd be interested in getting any one of these, let me know so I can decide how hard I should work on them.
11/12/02 - A new comic today.
11/07/02 - At long, long last, there's a new comic. I wasn't being lazy all this time, though, ..at least no more than usual.. today's comic is three times the normal length, and it took about four times as long as usual, because of all the art-heavy panels. So, if you count it as three individual comics, I'm on schedule... I also worked on the unicorn princess t-shirt a bit. Also, regardless of my excuses, I'm sorry about the delay. I'll try not to let it happen in the future.
10/22/02 - Comics sure take a long time these days. I started this one around 9:00 and didn't finish until 3:30AM. There were delays, of course, but no more than an hour's worth. oh well, who cares.
10/16/02 - In a rare lack of laziness, I stayed up untill 4:00 to finish this comic and get it online. I could just as easily have put it off, since there's no way I'm going to get another comic done this week, what with all the papers still left ungraded. However, exercising some willpower every now and again will keep it from going away completely. In other news, I recently recieved another piece of guest art. I put it up in the guest art section, predictably enough. Finally, I may be having problems with my email account. I say this because I'm just not getting any mail. So perhaps my problems aren't account-based. Either way, if you've sent me an email in the last week and not recieved a reply, it's because I never got your mail. Or perhaps my replies aren't sending. I don't think that's the case, however.
10/14/02 - I finished this comic so long ago, yet it's only just now being uploaded. I apologize for my laziness, everyone.
10/10/02 - Well, that quantum test was pretty rough. it looks like everyone else did pretty poorly on it, as well, though. Anyway, irritability is getting away from the unicorns for a while, and returning to the real focus of the strip. No, not treasure this time, it's Chappy talking to anthropomorphic animals. This time however, it's more like a zoomorphic human.
10/07/02 - I've been sick the last four or five days, and I have a quantum test tomorrow morning. New crappy comic. good night.
10/03/02 - Well, here's a new comic. I'm running behind schedule on grading papers, but hopefully I can get a shitty filler comic up this week.
09/29/02 - Hopefully I can get a second strip done this week, but I can't say for sure. There's a lot of work to be done. I have to grade a bunch of papers. Ugh. Anyway, I decided to increase the size of Irritability strips to 800 pixels wide. There were just too many details that didn't show up.
09/25/02 - Finally, a new strip. It's late in the night, so I'll leave it at that.
09/24/02 - Tests and such have prevented me from fulfilling my comic duties up to, and continuing through today. However, I figured out where I want to go with the rest of this unicorn princess stuff, and started on the next strip. Also, it's too stupid for a strip, (if that's even possible!!!) but here is a picture of one of Sandy's five guardians. And some other things as a bonus. Also, I got some guest art from one Sam Hall, and it's up in the guest art section. I'd like to take this opportunity to remind my readers of the standing guest art solicitation policy. If you have something, hand it over. Oh, and, while I'm at it, thanks to everyone who told me how to get anime. Though it was not in your best interest, since the glut of anime I quickly acquired was responsible for the studying crisis of last week which caused the irritability shortage you are currently experiencing.
09/20/02 - I finally finished, but it's too late for me to shade in this comic. I'll do it tommorow.
09/19/02 - Work I put off last week has caught up with me, so I'm a bit behind schedule. To tide you over until this week's second comic, I present to you this shitty filler comic. In these, the lowest forms of humor will be explored.
09/16/02 - A new comic is here.
09/10/02 - I had this one almost finished last night, but things came up, so I'm not ahead of schedule anymore. I put a lot of effort into the art in this one, but with this resolution, you can hardly notice. When Spaceage makes hi-res versions available, promise me you'll go look at them.
09/08/02 - Got that haircut. Also, I've become kind of obsessed with the Azumanga Daioh closing theme song. (I wanted to put a link to the site that had the strips translated here, but I wasn't able to find it again.) If someone knows a better way to get episodes of the anime than gnutella, let me know. And don't say kazaa. As for the comic, Jem fans will have something to be happy about.
09/04/02 - Back to the unicorns. This strip is pretty weak. I just wanted to mention the evil lord Nakaboshi and the Unicorn Council. Oh well, that third panel of Tatanya looks pretty good, I think. And dammit, my hair is too long! I haven't had a haircut since I interviewed for that security guard job back in like, February. So now it's going all over, epecially into my eyes and ears, which itches like a bastard. When it goes into my ears. It just hurts when it goes in my eyes.
08/31/02 - Okay, I decided to take a break from the Unicorn Princess "storyline". It's much harder to draw those strips than the sort that today's belongs to. I think it will be immediatley evident just how easy this one was to draw when you see it. On another note, the photoshop guide is not up. I realized I don't know how to make screen captures. If you know how to do this in macintosh OSX, click here.
08/28/02 - Well, I did not get the photoshop guide up sunday, and I still don't have it up. However! The legend of the Unicorn Princess continues at One, so you can go check that out.
08/25/02 - This should have been up yesterday, but there were some downloads I was begged not to interrupt, so I couldn't log in as me. Anyway, the unicorn princess story really gets started in todays comic. By the way... I don't get much email from this site under any circumstances... but I was really expecting, say... well, at least two emails about the Tamahome's dead fambly comic. But I only got one, and really, that one might have been about something else entirely. Here, I'll make it easy for you: Click Here. Anyway, I plan to put up the photoshop tutorial later today, so if you want to know how to edit comics, go to Eight and just hammer that refresh button until it loads.
08/21/02 - Whoo! I got a new scanner and finished the next comic, the first in a series that will drag on longer than it ought, probably. Fushigi Yuugi fans, pay attention. Though this isn't a FY parody, it is a satire of the genre, and I wisely saved time on character design by simply stealing from more successful authors. There's also a new Snid comic at Seven. Finally, there's a whole new section, and it's even more poorly layed out than the others! Eight was created to answer several emails I got asking how I drew the strip, but I plan to expand it later with how to files on other subjects. Of course, I have planned to expand every one of these pages, and to make a short story longer than it needs to be by preceeding it with this nonsense, I didn't.
08/19/02 - At long, long last, there's a new comic up at One. In case you haven't been reading the forum, here's what happened: while moving out, my roommate took the cable modem early, leaving me with no internet with which to make a final update. Just as well, I suppose, since most of the information is posted below, and I didn't have a new comic or anything. So, as I said, I took a cruise to Cozumel, then began the trip to Durham, stopping at many places along the way. However, I left my scanner behind, since no OSX native drivers exist for it. I meant to buy a new one, but money problems manifested themselves surprisingly early. Finally, a week ago, I arrived in the newe place. After a while, I got internet, but still no scanner. I managed to use the scanners at Duke, and that was today. I'm not sure how intensive the workload is going to be, so the number of comics you should expect is uncertain, but the next one is almost done, so for now at least, the situation is ok.
07/26/02 - Sorry, no comic this update. However there is a new slew of annotations at One. The main reason for this update, however, is to let everyone know what the deal's going to be when I don't update for three weeks or however long it takes. First, mr. computer here will be taken apart and shipped home. (galveston) From there, I will be riding a large boat to Mexico and back. Food will be served in great abundance, I intend to gain at least a pound a day. Once I get back, I'll leave for my new home in North Carolina. Once there, comicking will resume, but updates to the site will be on hold until we get internet. Which should not take long. If, in the meantime, you want some new Irritability that you've never seen before, click on this link right here to get information on how to order Bryan Douglas' comic The Constitution Bar and Grill #1, which contains 5 pages by me.
07/24/02 - Late at night, an update comes. It's pretty big, too. 1 new comic, and 1 new 24 hour comic. the 1st, or rather the 0th page of the comic (entitled "Bring Back My Treasure, You Traitorous Swine!") does not exist now. I plan to make one and put it up, but that will be more than two weeks from now. Until then, don't worry about the broken image.
07/22/02 - Moving out is going to absorb most of my time. Regular updates will continue till the end of the week, I can't promise anything after that until I get settled in up in Durham.
07/19/02 - So, right, there's a new comic. Do you remember the appliances in the Flintstones?
07/17/02 - Well Well. I finally come slinking back. Here is a list of the delays: Became disgusted with friday's comic at the last minute, decided not to do it; 24 hour comic; went to frio river for a bit of tubing, all day saturday and sunday occupied thusly; troubles with scanner software, and OS9. So, while I haven't been fulfiling my 3/weekly strip duties, I have produced a 20 page comic, the worst you'll ever see! Also, if you will click on this link right here you'll get information on how to acquire a copy of The Constitution Bar and Grill #1, a print comic which contains a five-page Irritability story of the highest quality, which cannot be found elsewhere.
07/10/02 - I had some trouble with HP's scanner software. It took almost two hours to resolve, but I got the comic done just the same. The art's a bit rushed though, but not bad. I also did the art for the "Young Magicstrodamus Adventures" at spaceage today. Check it out! I'll put it up in the guest section soon, also. Argh! so much work to be done for the site! If only I had some sort of android!
07/08/02 - "We sent in all those Snid requests like you asked, so where are all the Snid comics???" you ask? Uhhh..... There's a new irritability comic up...?
07/05/02 - It's actually only 45 minutes into 7/05/02, like I predicted. The new comic is done, and that's how I spent the fourthe of July. I don't have time to tell you anymore, though.
07/04/02 - I wanted to have two comics today, and there's still time, but it's not too likely. At the very least it won't be uploaded until late tonight. The new comic that I haven't started yet, that is. I'm not sure what I'm gonna do today, either. I've got five out of a six pack of Lone Star, (the national beer of Texas, for those of you who don't know) so that's a start. I may very well watch and see if Kurt Angle becomes invincible on this, the most sacred of national holidays. (Kurt Angle is tthe American Hero wrestler on WWF, for those who don't know.)
07/03/02 - Well, I said I'd have something, so here it is. It's a preview of a T shirt that will be available on spaceage soon. By the way, if you have a particular shirt or other product you would like to see, by all means, email me.
07/02/02 - Todays comic was finished a while ago, but I was too tired to post it here. After transforming myself into a human sleeping machine for 36 hours or thereabouts, I'm refreshed and recharged. This comic is not so funny, but I'm quite pleased with some of the art, which is a result of the new pen nib I got. It's "extra-fine" which is how I likes 'em. It gives you a consistently thin line, which is excellent for shading. Also, I have another confession to make: I was playing harvest moon for the ps2 while in galveston. I felt so ashamed, I had to get this off my chest. Another bit of information: A 5 page Irritability story will be contained within Bryan Douglas' 'Constitution Bar & Grill' #1, a comic that is now available, with ordering information at The Spaceage message fora. I'll have a preview up later, oh, aand I at least plan to stick to the M-W-F schedule for a while longer, at least, so check back tomorrow. I promise to have something up.
06/28/02 - I feel pretty lousy again, so not much talking. new comic.
06/22/02 - Well, even though I promised a comic yesterday, there was not one. I finished it on time, but it turned out so crappy, I coulndn't get motivated to scan it and so on before going to bed. I felt really bad, that's why. I finished another comic last night at work, it's up now as well, but it's crappy, as well, so whatever. To explain my situation: I had my wisdom teeth out monday, and stayed in G-town convalescing until thursday when I came back up for work. Everything went pretty well, and I had a lot less pain/bleeding/swelling than is usual. So, confident by my above average recuperation, and hopped up on painkillers, I started eating solid foods. Now, I'm almost out of the pills, and all that chewing is really coming back to haunt me. What's more, these painkillers seem to have an intensifying narcotic effect- it increases every time you take another pill. I used to take two and the pain would go away and I'd get sleepy, now I take one and get totally high. The problem here is, if you can't go to sleep while the pill is still in effect, you experience the same miserable "coming down" associated with stronger narcotics. Not that I have any first-hand knowledge of that, mind you. Anyway, so for these last two comics- the second half of the double size one, and both halves of the single size one- the pencils werre done in an exuberant high, while the inks were done in a wretched state of depression. Since the inks are what you see, this had a noticeable effect on quality control. oh well.
06/16/02 - If you'll recall, or if you look down, I'm going back to Galveston for wisdom tooth removal. Actually, I'm not sure if the last update actually took, so I'll just tell you: I'm going to be gone this week. This means I won't be able to update the site again until like, Friday. I had hoped to get the rest of the weeks' strips done before leaving, and I owuld have, but Wednesdays strip turned out to require twice the usual amount of bristol board, while I only brought once the usual amount to work. That half of the comic can almost stand on its own, but not quite. So, only one comic for now, but the next one will be double size. Also, I've posted a guest art I just recently recieved. It's of Exoth, and it's quite unusual. We have Miss Caitlin (aka Monkey Soup) to thank for this. Lastly, Pendenne fans- if you exist, then head over to Seven for a treat.
06/14/02 - AAAARGH!!! I've been up for 25 hours now, and I'm quite irritable. Me. Ironic, eh? No, not really. Anyway, there's a new comic, and I have a lot of stuff, but I'm too tired to include it in this update. Also, next week I'm going back down to G-town to get these wisdom teeth removed. Why am I leaving the big city to go have a maxillofacial surgical procedure done in a small town? Cuz that's where I got my anesthesiology hook-up, you know what I'm sayin?
06/12/02 - A new comic of course, I haven't gotten much email from readers lately... and no guest art or snid requests in a LONG time. If you've sent in a snid request, and I didn't write back, or draw itm send in another one. I'll put the requirements for a snid opponent up at Seven.
06/09/02 - Fridays comic continues, with a reference to a much older comic. Do you remember it?
06/07/02 - It's my birthday today, hurrah. I'm not gonna do much though, just hang out at the house of SAC. My own parents aren't even getting me anything, poor me, right? That's how it's been for a while. It almost didn't occur to me to ask for the night off. Anyway, there's a hastily thrown together comic up tosay, go check it out.
06/05/02 - Lateness apologies. First off, after much dragging of feet, the missing comics are back up, though at slightly lower quality tham the rest of the archives. Next, I finally replaced my stolen car stereo, and got one that plays MP3s! Time to Rock! Unfortunately, in unrelated incindents, the two back speakers in my car were blown out, so my vehicular rocking out capacity is only at half, which segues nicely into today's comic. go.
06/01/02 - If you remember, or if you read the post yesterday, I was very exhausted. Consequently, I slept all day, so now I've got plenty of pep left over from work. I've got another comic as well, this one is somewhat math-based, mathematics majors should enjoy it, I can't guarantee anything for the rest of you. Hopefully, I'll have some more stuff later in the day - another art, or perhaps an update for Two or Three, about Advance Wars or One Piece, respectively. Okay, I put a new art up at Seven.
05/31/02 - There was a bunch of stuff I was supposed to do today, but I was too asleep. I got up early at 1:30 to take care of it, but it turns out i'm missing some critical information. Now I'm all tired and I didn't even get anything done. I did, however, get a new comic done.
05/29/02 - I had some trouble with quills drawing this one. See, I'd been using the same nib ever since I started using quills, way back in november. If you're familiar with this type of pen, you won't be surprised when I tell you that it's totally worn out now. I was given a new one by my good buddy Kurt, but in the process of putting it in the nib holder, I bent the hell out of it, it seems. So I had to go buy some new nibs and holders, which is not bad since they are both very cheap... but I'm irritated that I had to run an errand. These things should just float down from the sky and settle on my pillow whilst I sleep. Anyway, if you're not too busy feeling sorry for me, go check out the new strip at One.
05/26/02 - Much to my dismay, very nearly all of the manga translation sites I used to frequent have shut down or almost shut down. You'd think this would translate into moore comics from me, but you'd think wrong apparently. I do have the scheduled one strip, however. It too is about a lame-ass cave.
05/24/02 - What an erratic schedule I've been keeping as far as updates go. I apologize, I guess. On a different note, wouldn't you rather read about the ponies?
05/19/02 - TWO brand new strips are up at One! Hoo-ray! As far as The Internet (that's my name for my car) goes, I think it's fixed, but I wasn't here when the mechanic called yesterday, and today's sunday, so in short, I still have no ride. My roommate owes me a bunch of rides, but he was in a wreck recently and is not able to provide them. Anyway, I hope you like the new comics.
05/17/02 - Sorry about the lack of updates. My car got broken into a few days ago, my tape deck, discman, all my cds, tapes, road maps, and writing implements being among the stolen items. So my morale's been a bit low, and I've fallen befhind on both updates and the comics themselves. I'm slightly reassured by the fact that the tape deck has a lock on it, if you disconnect it from a power supply, it becomes inert until you enter the code, so that's worthless; nearly all of the stolen cds were burned (as opposed to purchased); the discman cost $30, and hasn't worked well since I spilled an Icee on it; so the criminals involved will not feel much financial benefit from their little endeavor. However, this does not make my stereo or my cds any less gone, nor my window any less smashed. To compouund matters, and to compound this unusually long post, as soon as I got the window replaced, the car refused to start. Poor me, huh? Well, if you've read this far, congratulations, your prize is a new comic.
05/12/02 - As promised, there's a new comic, and it's about standing on other people's shoulders. I screwed up a bit though- the trenchcoat in the 3rd and 4th panels buttons on different sides each time it appears. Whoops!
05/10/02 - Aren't you lucky!! Yet ANOTHER double-sized strip today! Too bad it's just another damn amnesia strip, huh? yeah? well, screw you! Soooo-reee if amnesia as a plot device isn't inherently hilarious (inherentlarious for you combination-humour fetishists out there) to you philistines. Well, as they say in today's strip, at least it's over. Next up we have a bit about stacking people up to get into a rated r movie.
05/08/02 - There's a new comic, but I'm too tired now to say any more.
05/05/02 - Some explanation about the current run of strips- The comics themselves are the joke. Usually the jokes are contained within the strips, and this may have caused you some confusion.
05/03/02 - Well, Well, if it isn't a double-sized strip! (it is) Also, we have another picture up at Seven.
05/02/02 - This comic is late, sorry. However, thanks to Carl Drougge's gift of a php script, the archives now have a previous and next feature. The script is a little rudimentary, but it has one feature of which I am quite fond... there's no link to go back to the archive's mainpage, so if you spend a lot of time looking around, you're stuck there! How approprioate for a maze of death, right? Of course, you can just just pull down a bookmark or something and escape.
04/27/02 - A new comic, and two more pictures at Seven. Also, I fixed a lot of broken links in the archives. The ones around 520 are still missing though. No time to say more though, I have to go to work.
04/26/02 - Well, there's no comic today, but three new arts at Seven. I'm going to redo the art page, soon, so the links are less descriptive than usual. There's three more pictures coming, I don't have time to scan them today. Also, the email address I've been recently using as my return address, it turns out, did not exist. (but it does now) Hopefully any messages sent to it can be recovered, but maybe not. Anyway, you might want to resend any recent messages you sent me if you didn't get a reply and expected one.
04/25/02 - Oops! I forgot to upload this comic once i was done. Sorry it's late. And sorry in advance for the lateness of the strip that I should have done for friday.
04/20/02 - Another comic featuring that wacky metal, killdanium. I didn't sleep very well today, but now I have to go do my night shift anyway. Poor me. I should just about wrap up the pages I'm doing for Brian's print comic, more info on that later, perhaps.
04/18/02 - Well I figured out how to fix those broken links, I think... The UT server was not case-sensitive between links and files, whereas this one is. Anyway, a new comic today, I should be following a MWF schedule pretty closely for a while.
04/17/02 - FINALLY BACK!! I let the site fall behind while it was down, so please forgive me my broken links for a week or two while I get it back to speed. In the meantime, enjoy!
01/14/02 - Woops. Had a new comic, but got distracted in the middle of updating the site to accommodate it, then forgot to resume those efforts. Anyway, it's after the end of the weekend, rather than before, but, here you go just the same.
01/11/02 - Well, the Missouri movie trip fell through at the last damn minute. I was busy scrambling to get it back on track yesterday and today, so ther's only one new comic. I won't be going anywhere, though, so there'll be more before the end of the weekend. Uhhh... I beat Final Fantasy X, and got a gamecube. And saw the fellowship of the ring, liking it thoroughly, though my ass fell asleep. Fans of the lord of the rings series, or the movie, you should check this out, especially "My Precious".
01/07/02 - So, I finally got back up to Austin and can perform another update. Just one comic, I'm afraid. I was giddy from the prospect of no school for nine months, and lazed around 24/7. I'm going directly back to Galveston tonight, so don't get too excited. I'll be back in town friday night, hopefully with two or more comics, so check back then for an update.
12/22/01 - I did another 24 hour comic, titled "Die, You Zombie Bastards!". I actually finished this one... in that I completed 24 pages before 24 hours went by. However, I didn't have time to erase the pencils, or ink the borders of most of the panels, or even ink some of the text. Also, I have to say, it's probably the worst one so far, so many of the gags are reused from ones featured in the strip. Oh well, hopefully you people won't think so. Also, I finished Metal Gear Solid 2 recently. I'm pretty pleased with it. And I saw the new Vamopire Hunter D movie. I liked it pretty well, Amano's influence is very visible. Finally, the site won't be updated for a while, as I will be going to Galveston later today. Depending on whether or not all the actors for The Chairmen can get time off work, I may not return to Austin until the 20th of Jan. I should find a way to update the site before that date, even if I do go to Missouri for filming. Happy Holidays, everyone, and enjoy the comic!
12/18/01 - God, today's comic took a long time to do. The pencils and inking were both pretty tedious, and coloring it took like six hours. probably more. Despite all that effort, it didn't even come out that great. Well, it's up, not much else to say.
12/13/01 - Shading abounds in today's comic, with light sourcing and everything. I'm not too pleased with how Tatanya turned out in the first panel, but the next two look pretty good I think. It took a long time to draw. If you can figure out what the monster in the third panel is, email me. I also have the 'goodbye' strip that ran in the texan up at Seven. Also, I fixed the broken 30 - column link.
12/10/01 - Today, for you, I've got a new comic up at One, and my 30 - column, something that Daily Texan staffers write when they graduate.
12/05/01 - How shocking! Two strips in a row! The sectoid in this strip is named zeblor, for what it's worth.
12/04/01 - The update monday didn't take on this page, for whatever reason. So, I'm leaving monday's strip up on One, right under todays.
11/21/01 - This comic is a result of me having seen the Harry Potter movie this weekend. I thought about calling it "Cor, Blimey!" since that is the phrase that best sums up the movie, and I also was going to call it "Magic, Bayby" (or perhaps majikku), from a line in the third Akazukin ChaCha ending theme, but both of these are inside jokes that I and one other person would get, at most. I might even forget the joke eventually. I think the current name is okay, even if it's not particularly clever.
11/19/01 - Another comic today, featuring all-quill lineart. Can you tell the difference? Also, I was given all 108 episodes of Yuu Yuu Hakusho recently. I'm happy about that. Furthermore, there's a new title image at One now. It features all the characters that are from Vedica. Let me know what you think.
11/14/01 - I forgot to mention this, but the reason I've been so slow with new strips is that I've been working on a pretty massive project. We just finished the report, it was over 100 pages long. That's over with now, so I should be able to speed things up. Also, last strip was not only understood by quite a few people, it also apparently was widely well recieved. In case you were wondering.
11/12/01 - If anyone really gets today's comic, please email me.
11/07/01 - Ooof. I'm tired today, and I'm not sure why. I guess I slept poorly, though I felt fine this morning. Got a lot of schoolwork this week. Today's comic is based on resident evil. Oh, and the last one was based on true reality, actually. Synonyms.
11/05/01 - Only one comic last week. how pathetic. Even with all the work I had, there's really no excuse. I have one tonight, however, and It's quite good, if I do say so myself. Oh, and I got an email from a self described 5 year old who wore a costume suggested by exoth in a truly old school Irritability strip. He had a lot of facial hair for a 5 year old, though.
10/31/01 - Happy Halloween, everyone! Today is switch day at the Texan again, I switched with Mac Blake of Bill and Erik. I put both up at One, so you can take a taste. Also, sorry about the sluggishness of my updates, but that's going to continue for a while. I'm under a lot of stress at the moment.
10/27/01 - Switch Day is coming up, and some other business. I might have to miss a comic next week. And this one is really late in coming to the site. Sorry.
10/23/01 - Today's comic is pretty crappy, I'm afraid. School's been getting really harsh, too. Ugh. I feel like those unfortunate Baudelaire Orphans.
10/22/01 - I saw the D this friday. They Rocked so hard... Two other points I want to address: 1st, the laser plane chappy was talking about is an actual thing. The web page describing it is here. Also, let me thank all the folks who wrote in with lich vs. vampire information. I appreciate the feedback, even if I wasn't able to get back to you personaly. The lich totally won, by the way. New comic late, sorry.
10/18/01 - I missed my chance to do five comics this week because I got sick with the flu or something, and needed a lot of sleep. And I had a ton of work due.
10/15/01 - Ugh. I'm tired, sick, and my wisdom teeth hurt. Just the same, I finished a comic, so you should be happy.
10/14/01 - I wanted to get four strips last week, but on thursday, I was unable to come up with even a mediocre idea. Today, however, I was finally able to come up with a mediocre comic idea. Ha ha! just a little self-deprecating humor, there. This comic mentions the scale of undaed creatures, a heirarchical ranking of the different trypes of undead. The debate on the particular order of this scale continues to this day, with the main point of controversy being the placement of the lich relative to the vampire. If anyone has strong feelings on this issue, please email me.
10/10/01 - As promised, I slacked off quite a bit today. However, I did accomplish a few of my goals, one of which was the comic that is now up at One.
10/09/01 - Tomorrow I have to: Do homework, meet with an advisor, get a haircut, pay my credit card bill, secure some letters of reccommendation, write my lettter of intent, work on my design project, get my wisdom teeth removed, put together a portfolio of illustrations for an upcoming contest, draw a comic, figure out when to have the DCS west mall rally (DCS is the Austin cartoonist group), edit the comics page, and, of course, go to class. Tomorrow I will: play advace wars, read some webcomics, and do about five of the previous list. In other news, there are a lot more annotations up in the archives at One.
10/08/01 - I just barely missed the bus on my way home from the texan tonight, the stops are very close together on that route, so I tried to run to the next stop before the bus left it. I only got about 75% of the way there before it left, despite sprinting the whole way. My heart was overcome with despair. Fortunately, someone in a jeep pulled up and gave me a lift to another bus stop, passing the bus in the process. Kindness to strangers like that really cheers me up, you know?
10/06/01 - Today's update is inexcuseably late, but the expected strip is accompanied by a bit of art over at Seven, so that should make things up to you guys.
10/02/01 - If you wondered what it would be like to work in the Forest of Peril, this strip will quench your thirst for knowledge.
10/01/01 - The next strip is available now.
9/27/01 - I mentioned this at SAC, but if you want to see Reduced Fat Karate Bastards, you can with a quicktime player. Go to file, open URL, then put rtsp://shenzi.atc.missouri.edu/RFKB2_bigass.mov in the field. Or, if a smaller file suits you more, try rtsp://shenzi.atc.missouri.edu/RFKB2_scrawny.mov And there will be a new comic here around 8:00 thursday.
9/25/01 - Another incomplete update, the archive does not have the new strip yet.
9/21/01 - I knew storylines didn't work well in a strip type setting, I don't know why I tried it. Basically almost everything I wanted to do with Velel's visit could not work, except in a full page, continuous, comic-book-type presentation. So, I cut the storyline very short, and will go back to one or two-shot strips starting with the next one.
9/19/01 - Blecch. I've been really busy with classes. Also, I just heard that two swarms of bees invaded my parents' backyard. about 60000 of them. I mention this because, the extent to which I am overworked is such that, when I heard I was too tired to come up with some "Bee my valentine" or similar pun. I should specify, however, that the reason I'm so overworked now is because I slacked off all weekend.
9/18/01 - I had this one done on thursday, but I'm just now getting around to posting it. With any luck, though, I should have another up later today.
9/11/01 - Geez... not much to say here, I'm sitll a bit subdued from the events of this morning. Ummm... It looks like I'll be switching from the pigment liners I've been using to a quill pen. And there's a new comic.
9/09/01 - Today's comic has 4 panels, deviating yet again from the 3 panel standard. that's about it.
9/06/01 - I'm late with this, but the comic is larger than usual, so that kind of makes up for it. But, what with classes, and other work the texan gives me, the strip is only rarely going to appear more than three times a week. Sorry, but that's how it's gonna have to be. Also, I'm updating from the texan right now, so there are a few things I won't be able to do in this update, particularly update the archives section.
9/04/01 - Today's comic starts a number of irritability story arcs that will span a good stretch of time, maybe.
9/03/01 - Whoops! looks like I forgot to save the changes I made to the irritability page before uploading it, causing the new comic not to be shown. Don't I feel stupid. It was viewable in the archive, so hopefully you all got to see it, but if not, I'm leaving it on the main page. Today's update features an irritability, a snid, and an illustration.
8/30/01 - Another comic, though to be honest, I'm not too thrilled with it. I've been pretty busy with jobs the Texan has been giving me. If you remember, I'm their main illustrator as well as a cartoonist, and their comics editor.
8/29/01 - Class starts today... I'm sorry to say, this will probably result in a drastic drop in number of irritability strips. I've got two classes that are supposed to be real beasts, as in I will have to work hard because of them, rather than beasts that bite and scratch me. But you already knew that.
8/27/01 - I completed this comic, and have put it up. In other news, I drew the cover for the 2001/2002 daily planer that the Student Engineering Council here at UT will be putting out. Apparently, they liked it so much that there will be an accompanying T shirt. Irritability readers in Austin should check that out, even though the picture featured on both has nothing to do with Irritability.
8/25/01 - Sorry about the late update. Sometimes, even if I finish a comic on time, I don't get a chance to update the page for a while afterwards.
8/21/01 - Well, todya I want to talk to you kids about something important. Backpack Dog. I know we all want to put ol' snagger in a bag and carry him around with us, and we all want to have backpack dog eyes in the back of our heads, but trust me, it isn't worth it. You just end up turning around in circles all day. Read the comic today if you want an explanation.
8/19/01 - Back from Missouri. I am, that is. We wrote the screeenplay, shot some of it, but there were a lot of factors counting against us, so even though this was supposed to be an easier movie to film than RFKB2, we only finished about half of it. As for the comic, there's a new one. Hopefully you all still remember what was going on when I left.
8/08/01 - Okay, the newest 24 hour comic is up at One. It's called "To The Present, you Uppity Wench!" Also, there's another comic up. I'm leaving tomorrow though, for about a week. I'll be in Missouri, probably making a movie.
8/07/01 - Okay, the 24 hour comic isn't up yet, but there is a comic today. I'll try to have the 24 hour comic up sometime tomorrow.
8/02/01 - Again, unforseen circumstances prevented me from uploading the comic yesterday after it was done. A completely foreseen circumstance (laziness, on my part) prevented me from uploading it earlier today. But you have two new comics now, so that should be good. Let me also now say that after all bodies of water beyond "puddle" are abolished in the realm of irritability, cars will be the next to go. They are hard to draw. Transportation will be affected by convenient spheres or ovals, or by teleportation. Or maybe I'll just abolish locations altogether, and reduce the comic to people standing around in a white field without so much as a horizon line.
7/31/01 - Wahoo! A big update tonite, three whole comics! One of them is a snid, of course, but two are irritabilities. Let me also say right now that I am sick and tired of drawing water. Furthermore, I just beat the misadventures of tron bonne game. I don't know what I'm going to play next. More Civ II, probably.
7/30/01 - No update sunday, I meant to have two comics for this update, but due to circumstances, I will not be able to scan the second one in as I finish it. but tomorrow... chances are, I'll put it off again. But maybe I won't!
7/26/01 - I couldn't think of an Idea for the longest time, so I didn't get printed in the paper, or rather I won't, tomorrow. I'm the editor of the comics page now, and have authority... unfortunately, just as my glory days came into being, the classified ads, and theis new "around campus" feature, have both swollen and metasticized, squishing the comics page, like that girl gets squished by tetsuo's expansion in Akira. So basically, the comics page is so small now that my newfound authority amounts to very little.
7/25/01 - Well, now that I am no longer suffering from malnutrition, I'd like to have a few words with all of you. "Carpet", "Space", "Monkey", and "Centipede". I'd like to have these words with you. You and only You. Now, read that new comic at One, and read that guest-modified version of that comic at the guest art section at One. It's titled "Total Eclipse of the Mirage", though if you look carefully, you can still see some of the Mirage, it isn't totally eclipsed.
7/24/01 - Booga Booga, new comic today, and I finally get to eat. Hallelujah.
7/23/01 - I watched wrestling again for the first time in a while. Lots of odd things going on. Then I played Gran Turismo 3 late into the night, so this update is late. This update consists of a new irritability, of course.
7/19/01 - Only one comic today. I was recently told that someone had claimed my comic was "too intellectual" for them. (the one where head leg says big words, then is killed by a mob of protesters, specifically) They were mistaken, of course, since if anyone for whom Irritability was actually too intellectual would be unable to speak, at least in complete setences. Honestly.
7/18/01 - Whoops! I uploaded the new comic, but forgot to update the page to accommodate it. I'm fairly pleased with this one, breaking this weeks slump. And in the second update today, we have, well, another comic.
7/16/01 - Today we follow up the very poorly drawn strip with a very poorly written one. I just haven't been able to come up eith ideas lately, so I'm always rushed when I finally pick one of the crappy ideas I've been tossing around and put it into ink. I'll try to have a better comic for tomorrow.
7/15/01 - The worst drawn Irritabolity in recent history is up today. Look closely at the third panel, if you dare.
7/11/01 - Saru ga nani o tabemasu ka? Does anyone know if the grammar is correct here? There is a new comic up, the second one in 24 hours, which would be impressive if it reflected anything more than laziness on the part of me-in-the-past.
7/10/01 - Well, last tuesday I ended up getting drunk and watching the dudewheresmycar show instead of finishing the comic. It's done now, a week later. It's a follow up to the last comic. AX was really cool, much better than Akon. saw people dressed up as the 3 from Suikoden II, that pleases me. I don't think that game gets enough respect. I saw the escaflowne movie, and got Noburo Ishigoro's autograph. I also went to the Yu Watase panel, that was interesting. I liked fushigi yuugi. Maybe I'll say more on this later, but now I have to study for my Japanese final.
7/02/01 - It's late, but this update involves two comics. And they're both Irritability, too, I'm not getting your hopes up with a snid. I'll be leaving for AX2001 this wednesday, which means no new comics for a while. Actually, I intend to get another one done tuesday, but in case I don't, I'm warning you now.
6/28/01 - A rare four panel comic today, featuring Ororya. Treasure continues to be the dominant theme of Irritability, or at least love of treasure, the root of all evil. Perhaps I'll do a comic about a root of all evil. It will probably feature stupid root puns.
6/26/01 - Today is tuesday. on tuesday we eat rice. The royal "we". There's anew strip up, It's not drawn very well. Damn! My little brother called and my meal went cold while I was on the phone. What's more, the little scamp was calling to me to brag about his playstation2 acquisition. And he gets to eat better than me, living with the folks. I'm jealous.
6/25/01 - Okay! I'm back from florida. I went to disney world, it was pretty cool. I thought there'd be more centipedes, but mercifully, it was relatively insect free. Another Comic today.
6/19/01 - Another comic featuring pendenne from the 24 hour comic is here. Also, let me urge you take good care of your neckbone. I didn't, and now I have an incredible headache. So watch out.
6/18/01 - So apparently, everything in the universe is constantly traveling at the speed of light, though through 4 dimensional spacetime, rather than the 3 dimensional space most of us are more used to. That's why time seems to slow down for things moving at a high velocity relative to you; the time component of their velocity decreases as the space component increases, since the spacetime velocity has to remain constant. And there's a new comic up.
6/17/01 - I finished this comic yesterday, but just now got around to posting it. Sorry. As your reward for waiting, there's a new bit of art at Seven. Also, i've been seeing a lot more centipedes around lately, so be careful.
6/14/01 - Here's a new comic, it was easy to draw. I don't know what else to say.
6/13/01 - I got onto BELLY! (Big Elitist Link List.. Yup.) This is good news for me because Irritability is pretty unpopular, at least in comparison to many other webcomics, and being linked to by so many good comics will help out a lot. The comic today is freshly picked, and ripe and juicy and what not. It came from a plant, I grew it in a goddamn garden. Do you see the metaphor which I am making?? Do you? But like I said, there's some water in this one, I had some challenges with depicting wetness. If anyone has anything to say on this subject, for example: "I am the bavarian expert on depicting wetness. how do you do.", then I would like to hear it. E mail me.
6/11/01 - I'm so tired. The comic I'm putting up now could have been really good, I think, except I rushed it because I started so late. I started so late because I slept during the afternoon, and that was because I was tired, which I still am. Getting back to the comic, This is the only formula I have- random superhero appears, declares his intention to defeat exoth, who is evil. The hero has obvious weakness, Exoth exploits this and defeats him without even trying. Previous superheroes included Audior and CellPhoneHead Man.
6/10/01 - I'm not sure if this comic (I'm only talking about the strip for today) is funny. Lately I've been feeling as though my sense of humor has become so far separated from reality that it's no longer at all compatible with that of the average person. For example, frequently I look at other comics and cannot pick out the joke. It's as if someone asked me to locate a dangling participle or some other grammatical object that I, being an engineer, cannot really even remember the meaning of. Of course, this is with comics that show all the signs of being objectively bad, usually, so it might not be my fault, but still, I worry. Anyway, new comic.
6/09/01 - I finished today's comic yesterday, but the power got cut off and I couldn't upload it. Actually, that's the wrong order. I couldn't upload it due to other engagements, then this morning, the power was off when I got back. The comic is based on Oregon Trail, the old-ass computer game. It's pretty apparent if you've played the game, but if you haven't, I thought you might appreciate an explanation for why it isn't funny.
6/06/01 - Tomorrow is my birthday. For my present, I want a million jellybeans. Don't let me down. For your present, there's a new iritability. It's based on a true story.
6/05/01 - Ho hum. Another comic today, wrapping up the shadow government arc. Summer classes start tomorrow, also. hm.
6/04/01 - I was at A-kon thursday-sunday, explaining the lack of comics. It was kind of lame. It's been getting more and more dominated by the commercial anime distributors, so they don't show any entire series, or much in the way of fansubs. The biewing rooms have kind of become just big preview shows for ADV and anime blasters. I'm being a bit unfair, but I'm irritated, as is my tendency. On the plus side, I got a lot of good manga for 3.50 apiece. Bwahahahaha! Anyway, there is a new Irritability, continuing from the last one.
5/30/01 - Another comic, of course, and also an.. ahh.. interesting guest art. ChaCha fans will get a kick out of it, I think. Lastly, Snid is unusually verbose in his battle against Federal Reserve chief Alan Greenspan at Seven.
5/29/01 - Another Irritability. There are some objects whose identity is unclear in the comic at the resolution it's at on the webpage. The only one that matters is the syringe Exoth is holding in his left hand in the third panel, which is presumably filled with poison. The syringe, not the panel.
5/28/01 - Two more comics today, one Irritability, and one snid. I'm trying to do backed up requests in the order that I got them, but I messed up already. Snid comics are at Seven, if you forgot. AND! King of Fighters fans should check out Forrest "alias" Walker's comic, World of Fun.
5/25/01 - Two new comics today, both Irritabilities. The second one rweuires.. well, suggests, that the reader be familiar with "Do as I say, you primitive monkeys" for full understanding. Also, I suggest you read "Infinite Jest" by... uh... some guy. I can't see from here. It's a book, by the way. A damn big one, too.
5/23/01 - Today we have another Irritability strip, thrown together rather carelessly. The core of the comic's message: that a surfing fryguy is "awesome" comes through just as clearly as if I had been careful.
5/22/01 - I was unfortunately unable to complete the new 24 hour comic in the time alotted. In fact, in the 24 hour stretch I spent on it, I only completed 16 pages, some of which were pretty sad... So, the reason it's just now going up is that I just now finnished it. The title is "Do As I Say, You Primitive Monkeys!", cementing my standard for comic titles as a command followed by an insult.
5/18/01 - A new comic today, as promised. It was put together in a hurry and is visually unappealing, but I think the idea is kind of funny. Also, there's a nod to a certain Final Fantasy Tactics skill in it.
5/14/01 - There's a new comic today, but it's a pretty poor excuse. I should have another update friday.
5/13/01 - I'm going back to galvetron for a few days. This may be the last update for about a week. If I get a comic done tomorrow, there will be an update by 7:00. Anyway, when I get back, I'll be immediately starting in on the 2nd 24 hour comic. Today, however, we have a new comic and a new art at Seven. It seems the photoshop shading is preferred, so I'll be going with that from now on. That means jpegs, though, and thus, larger file sizes. I can't ignore the one clamoring voice of my fan, however, so those of you who have slow connections will just have to wait a little longer.
5/10/01 - An uneventful day, I suppose. A new Irritability is up, it was hard to draw. If you noticed, I've been using photoshop for shading, well, the airbrush feature as opposed to the "virtual formatt" as I just now called it. If anyone out there has an opinion on this matter, it'd be nice if you emailed me and informed me of this opinion. Since probably only one person, if that many, is going to respond, my decision on Irritability shading will likely be decided by them. Just think: you could be that person! Wow, what prestige! ...I can't even really type that enthusiastically. just the same, please let me know if it matters to you.
5/09/01 - Oh, I forgot to mention earlier, what with the racing excitment, but there recently was a Texas Student Publications awards banquet, from which I came away with three prestigous awards, one of which had an associated cash benefit of $500. Unfortunately, that is all going to be thrown down the pit created by my broken tooth, but at least that's 500 less I'll have to throw down it. Summer tuition is due soon. sigh. Anyway, one more comic, one that should have been up yesterday, except I reformatted my hard drive, and it took me all this time to get the html program back.
5/06/01 - The reason for the delay this weekend was a trip I took to the Texas World Speedway, for a high performance driving course. That involves driving a fast car around a racetrack, with an instructor telling you what you did wrong, and where to turn and such. I's damn fun. That's over now, though, but we have plenty of new material here to make up for the wait. Only one more strrip, but there's also one new art by me at Seven, and three new guest arts at the guest section. Also, I beat valkyrie profile, but I got the lousy ending.
5/02/01 - Yes, there is a new comic today. I don't feel like saying much else. bye.
5/01/01 - Dude, a new comic is up now, and it's 'Toad-ally Awesome'. I also have recieved another guest strip, which is up in the guest section of One. It too is 'Toad-ally Awesome'. As for humorous anecdotes, I woke up this morning to realize that I jad a paper due today. I looked at the assignment sheet, at it turned out to have a minimum length of four to five pages. I started writing one up, and it immediately was deleted by the crappy computers at school. I eventually cranked one out, well below the standard of quality I would have set for myself had I sufficient time. If the professor notices that it's lousy, only time will tell.
4/28/01 - I fianlly got my vehicle inspection sticker, so no worries for another year. Or, more likely another 18 months or so. Yes, of course there's a new comic, so don't even ask. Some links: my brother found some Dragon Half manga translations which most of you should appreciate. Also, a fellow decided to interview me for his website. He uses frames, so I can't link directly to the interview. Maybe I could, but I don't want to enough to do anything other than cut and paste. Also, there is new guest art, in the guest art section, of all places. It's been there a while, I just now remembered to mention it here.
4/26/01 - I started todays strip with an idea. That's usually the case, but this time it was not a funny idea. Now, some of you might argue that this is often the case in this comic, but to that I say shut the hell up. Noone is forcing you to read my comic, if you don't think it's funny, don't... I'm not really angry. I don't feel anger. Or lonliness. My cold, metallic heart feels not these things. I thought up a new TV show, just now. It's called "My two Major dads, and three sons, just the six of us, and my two wives, eight is enough, full house." It's gonna rule. Anyway, there's a new comic. Oh right, that was what I was talking about before I got sidetracked. It's centered around an unfunny, uninteresting, totally pedestrian idea. It has some extraneous jokes that are pretty funny, though.
4/25/01 - DAAAMN!! today's comic features a very poorly drawn badtz maru. And, while I threaten in it to make another new title, that's just idle talk. No new updates beside that. I'm working on some new annotations, but they won't be done for a while.
4/23/01 - What? Two updates in a row? I know, it's uncharacteristic. I manged it by neglecting games, schoolwork, food, sleep, hygene, and breathing to scrounge up enough spare time to do another strip. I haven't however, been neglecting translated manga, quite the opposite. All that time I spoke of scrounging up, it actually went into manga reading. The new strip is more forest of peril crap. The origin of, as a matter of fact.
4/22/01 - Ugh. I'm a bit hung over. Anyway, today's comic is up, and it centers around the forest of peril, so all you forest of peril fans out there have something to be happy about. Anyway, I went to a party with a lot of my old Galveston friends, that was fun. Then I went to a party for Daily Texan people and had some more fun. So you see, cartoonists DO have social lives... at least every now and then. Oh, there's some new stuff in Seven, and in the guest art section at One.
4/19/01 - I almost had todays comic done last night, but at the last minute, my addiction to computer games set in, and I played master of orion II for some vague amount of time. Disgusting, isn't it? I apologise. I'll work on the next one today.
4/17/01 - I finally got my broken tooth fixed. Now my mouth looks all beautiful again. The dentist, she told me "get those wisdom teeth pulled". But I know better. I'll get stupider if I part with those teeth, and they don't hurt or anything, so why bother? I could volunteer for the research where they pay me to pull the teeth. If I get a placebo, however, it'd be pretty miserable. I have some vicadin, maybe I could smuggle that in and take it if I have the placebo. Hm. Anyway, there's a new Irritability at One.
4/14/01 - The Four Hundredth strip is up tonight, the fateful eve of april fourteenth. Oh crap! yesterday was friday the thirteenth! I was supposed to get killed by Jason! aw, man. Anyway, Irritability #400 is in glorious color, after much effort. I don't know how some people can do this for every comic. Oh well, I'm tired so I'm going to bed.
4/12/01 - Okay, after an unjustifiably long absence, Irritability is back. I'll make the next one a big color strip, since it will be number 400. Today, some other cartoonists are coming over to see the transformers movie. I bought much beer in anticipation. It was on sale. Beer is still pretty expensive. Brevity is a virtue.
4/09/01 - If you recall, or if you look down a bit, I was sick. I did not mention that I had two huge projects due by wednesday, and two smaller projects due... also by wednesday. And my parents came in this weekend, leaving me to care for my younger brother. What I'm trying to say is, I don't have a new comic, and I won't for a little while. After wednesday, everything should be back to normal, so check back on thursday, the day of Thor. For now, enjoy the new Jungian analyses at One, and the new art at Seven.
4/05/01 - Argh! I'm sick! How did this happen? I'm taking 2000mgs of pennicillin a day, I should be totally immune to infection! I guess it's a virus. Anyway, the final AxeU was committed today. Next week, you'll have all the Irritability you can eat. Five strips. You can't eat very much, apparently. Also, I agreed to assasinate this guy today. I forget his name, I just remember that he shows people a picture of his colon, bleaagh! That's why he must die.
4/04/01 - Not much to say. The pentultimate AxeU is visible at One if you squint just so, and even if you don't. I actually got home before 8:00 today, I don't know what I'm going to do with this free time. I feel lost. "Well, then draw that Final Fantasy comic!" you say. But I don't want to, I'm tired, and I already drew a comic today.
4/03/01 - The conclusion to the AxeU saga is here at last. You have only to endure two epilogue strips, and then back to Irritability at long last. Exoth might keep his four arms, though. He's rather fond of them. Also, Liz has supplied me with more Jungian analyses of Irritability strips. You can see them at the archives at One.
4/02/01 - Today we have a new AxeU, a guest Irritability from Ray Daugherty of GDI's, and A guest GDI's from me of Irritability. That's three new comics, making this the first time I actually came through on my claims in a timely fashion. The Outkast show was badass in every sense of the word. Some of the Goodie Mob showed up, I like them too. I won't say too much, but take my word for it, the show whooped a rhino's ass. And a Platypus.
4/01/01 - APRIL FOOLS! there's no comic up today! ha ha ha! Actually, I did a comic, but it's a guest strip, for switch day. I'll put it up after it runs in the paper, tomorrow. I wouldn't bother updating if there was nothing new, so I have a new bit of random art at Seven. Also, there should be two comics by me tomorrow, plus a guest one. Finally, I'm going to see Outkast tonight!
3/28/01 - I didn't have time to make a new axeu today, due to various aspects of school. I do, however, have two new snid comics that I drew last night. It's snid vs. the Tae Bo guy, and snid vs. his Tyler Durden-ish alter ego. I'm also working on a "Scale of undead creatures". I know that a jack 'o lantern is the lowest, and the lich is at the top, followed closely by dracula, but other than that, I don't know.
3/27/01 - "That Aint What I Axed You!" continues inexorably, grinding everything in its path into dust. There is no guest irritability today, however. Don't blame me for this, though. Blame yourself, or perhaps God. I'm trying to make that a popular catchphrase, along with "go home and drink your milk". Neither seem to be catching on to any significant degree.
3/26/01 - A new Axeu today Also, Mr. Forrest Walker has provided me with another of his versions of Irritability. This latest one seems a bit grudging. It's as though he resents having to draw these comics for me, despite the fact that he does not have to. His efforts are neither demanded nor even requested. at least not by me. Anyway, I plan to unleash a slew of new snids soon, so be ready. Oh! it looks like I finally surpassed the 10000 hits mark. I'm pretty pleased by that. Thanks for coming, everyone.
3/22/01 - I'm ashamed at myself for producing so few comics this week. I make no excuses, it isn't like I had other things to do, I've just been playing valkyrie profile, reading endymion, and looking at translated manga. Sorry to disappoint you. There's a new comic up today, though. The guest strips I had ran out, so no more irritability, just axeu. I got a new guest strip, though. It's called "Snidability", and while snid is not in it, his spirit pervades, as the characters are all reduced to stick figures, and the strip ends in pointless destruction. Oops, I gave it away. Anyway, we can thank Jarrod Gurney for this. Thank you Jarrod Gurney!
3/20/01 - Well, I went home for the second half of spring break, and did nothing for the site or comic. However, today we have a new axu, and the last of the guest irritabilities. Most importantly out of the events of the day are those that occurd at the Wendy comic site. For those who haven't been, this is an exceptional comic by former daily texan cartoonist and webcomic veteran Josh Lesnick. Featured regularly is a style of humor similar to the random wackiness you've come to love in Irritability, and despise with every atom of your being in "That Aint What I Axed You!". However, (this is the point) featured this week are comics starring Chappy Chappy as a guest! Eeek! So, thank you, Josh. Now, go take a look!
3/15/01 - Sorry, nothing new from me today. There's the next guest irritability, and I made a section for all the guest strips to live, including guest strips by me, of other people's comics. Never before seen, at least not on this site. I'll have some things for you later.
3/14/01 - Okay, I still need guest art. I know you can do it, people. I've done my part, there's a new Axu, and another guest irritability. I'm too exhausted right now to riht anything good, but let me just say that I ate at Roy's famous chicken and waffles, and durn was it tasty. yes. the answer is yes, it was tasty.
3/13/01 - Following the same pattern, there is a new axu, and a new guest irritability.
